10,000th water treadmill session at IERFC
Lower Ballinderry centre revolutionising equine rehabilitation
The Irish Equine Rehabilitation and Fitness Centre opened the first equine water treadmill with an incline available for use by the public in Ireland. The centre has now just held its 10,000th water treadmill session, with Jessica Rogers and her young horse ‘Sky’ receiving the landmark session.
The state of the art centre, based at Lower Ballinderry near Lisburn, Co Antrim, was purpose-built to cater for the rehabilitation and fitness needs of equines, while providing the highest standards of care.
Rehabilitation services and treatment programmes at the centre are individually tailored; the centre caters for horses needing box rest, recuperation and post-operative care, whether on day visits or on short or long-term livery.
