A great day out at Newry Show

Equestrian section offered showing and show jumping classes for horses and ponies

Newry Agricultural Show was held on Saturday, June 28 at Derrywilligan Road, Bessbrook, and saw the usual wide range of attractions, including home industries, craft stalls, horticulture and classes for cattle, sheep, goats and even dogs.

The Equestrian section hosted showing classes for ponies under 133cm and under 143cm, as well as Fancy Dress, while horses were catered for with classes for ridden hunters over 148cm, coloured horses and racehorse to riding horses.

Newry Show hosted showing classes, as well as show jumping for horses and ponies.

Thanks are extended to all the competitors’ the judges for the show classes, Olaf Kerr and Dawn Hanna. Plus, of course, the members of Otterglen Riding Club who came and helped with stewarding, putting up jumps, loading jumps off and on to trailer, time-keeping and scoring for show jumping, as well as taking entries!
