A very special charity show being held at Castle Irvine
Fundraiser for Craigavon Neonatal Unit scheduled for May 4
Those in Co Fermanagh may already know equine coach, Kyle Hayes. Kyle and his wife Samantha have had a lot to celebrate in the past year and, to help them do so, they are organising a very special charity show at Castle Irvine, Necarne, Irvinestown on Saturday, May 4.
Kyle and Samantha’s son Jack was born at Craigavon Neonatal Unit last summer; he arrived 10 weeks early.
“Jack needed a lot of medical care and attention, as he was born so early. Without the super nurses and doctors there, we wouldn’t have our little man with us today… They literally saved his life!” Kyle said.
“We’re running the show in aid of the Craigavon Neonatal Unit, in appreciation of the amazing care Jack received in his time there last summer.”
The show will have unregistered show jumping in the walled garden, with classes from cross-poles to 1.10m. They are also running dressage in the Rose Garden arena, judged by Coreen Abernethy and have tests from Intro walk-trot level to Elementary level.
They are also running a raffle alongside the show, with amazing prizes on offer, including a private lesson with Mandi King, physio treatments from Claire Maria Currie, Le Mieux Loire saddlecloth and lots more!
A Go Fund Me page has also been set up for people wishing to donate or for anyone who can’t make it to the show, but wants to get involved.
Dressage entries are pre-enter via the Aldertree Equine Facebook page and close on Wednesday, May 1 at 9pm.
Show jumping entries will be taken on the day.
