Hello everyone,
After a busy start to the week, local equine activities have quietened down a bit, as many equine enthusiasts head to the RDS, as both competitors and spectators, for the phenomenon that is Dublin Horse Show.
This Horse&Field newsletter, highlights the latest local results, as well as diary dates and details of forthcoming shows and ongoing competitions.
The Horse&Field calendar is a bit quieter than usual this weekend, due to Dublin, but there are still a few activities for those not at the RDS, including a Training Show at Portmore on Saturday and, on Sunday, Downpatrick Racecourse will host ‘Music & Style Sunday’, which is sure to be a great day out, while for those who wish to be in the saddle, Portmore will host registered jumping and ILDRA are holding a Pleasure Ride at Scarvagh House (pre-entry). Details of these events and many more are to be found in the Horse&Field calendar. We are trying to make this list as comprehensive as possible, so if you know of any events that aren’t yet listed, please let us know!
To new subscribers, welcome! You will receive this newsletter twice each week, as well as occasional emails in between - we want to keep you informed, but do not want to overload your inbox!
Please remember that Horse&Field will be updated on a regular basis and you can visit it at any time to find out what is happening. If you wish, you can download the Substack app; you can search online for: horseandfield.substack.com or, if you are subscribed, just click on the email.
