August is Style Month at Downpatrick Racecourse
Two Fashion Fixtures to accompany seven exciting horse races each day
Hello and welcome to Horse&Field. Our aim is to support local, grass roots equestrian enthusiasts and competitors and keep you all informed of what’s happening in the horsey world, as well as covering all things agricultural. If you haven’t already subscribed you can do so below:
Preparations are in full swing for the two Fashion Fixtures taking place at Downpatrick Racecourse throughout August. Music and Style Sunday on Sunday, August 13 hosts their first fashion competition of the year - ‘The Most Stylish Hat and Accessories Competition’.
The remaining categories of ‘The Most Appropriately Dressed Lady’ and ‘Best Dressed Gent’ will take place on Ladies Day - Bank Holiday Monday, August 28. Both of these meetings have established themselves as highlights of the sporting and social calendar and attracts crowds from across Ireland.
Alongside seven exciting horse races each day, there will be lucrative Style Competitions, attractive Hospitality options and Live Music before and after racing.

The wonderful prizes to be won throughout Downpatrick’s Style month will be announced shortly via the Downpatrick Racecourses social media channels.
Early Bird General Admission is available to book online until 10 days before each meeting, priced at just £16 (to include a racecard). Other ticket options including VIP Cocktail Lounge, Hospitality and Punters Packages are all selling quickly, so book now to avoid disappointment.

Music and Style Sunday will take place on Sunday, August 13, with turnstiles opening at 12.30pm, ahead of the First Race at 2.10pm and Last Race at 5.10pm.
Ladies Day will take place on Bank Holiday Monday, August 28, with turnstiles opening at 12.30pm, ahead of the First Race at 2.05pm.
