Chloe claims 1.20m win at Portmore
Chloe Graham and ‘KEC Lanz’ won the 1.20m class at SJI Horse Show at Aghalee venue
Portmore Equestrian Centre, Aghalee held another of their popular SJI Horse Shows on Sunday, July 6, with classes offered from 80cm up to 1.30m.
As it turned out, the 1.20m class was the last of the day and was won by Chloe Graham riding Wendy Anderson’s ‘KEC Lanz’ to a speedy clear round in a a time of 34.57 seconds. Rebecca Mooney and her own ‘Galwaybay Jack’ just couldn’t match that time and finished in 37.78 for second place, followed by Stephen Gibson on his own ‘SGS Pride Of The Hill’ in third in 41.26.

An unfortunate faller before the end of the 1.20m class led to an ambulance being called as a precaution, which brought competition to a premature close. Thankfully, the injured party suffered only minor injuries.
Rebecca Mooney had taken the top spot in the 1.10m class on board her own ‘Knockroe Decies Girl’, with Ian Moore claiming both second and third places with his own ‘Triple C’ and ‘Pinecroft Lamiro’ respectively.
The 1m class saw six combinations keeping all the poles intact, while five pairings did so over the 90cm track and just one managed to jump double clear in the 80cm class.
Registered jumping continues at Portmore on Sunday, July 13, with entries via SJI Live, while an unregistered league is set to commence on Saturday, July 19.
