Christmas is coming... time for your equestrian results update
Show jumping and dressage, along with a bit of festive fun
Hi folks,
Not quite sure where time has gone to, but here we are in the week before Christmas! I hope you are all better organised with your shopping and catering arrangements than I am… but at least this year I am managing to ride my horse, so I think I am eventually learning to prioritise!

After a quieter week last week, things are busy this week where results are concerned and they are accompanied by some fantastic photos. We will endeavour to share these with you and get caught up with everything before the holidays.
This Horse&Field newsletter brings you results and pictures from local competitions, which included show jumping and dressage, with a bit of festive cheer thrown in; as well as information on forthcoming events. More equestrian coverage will follow later in the week.
The Northern Lights NI Riding Club Winter Cash Jumping League final took place at RDA Coleraine on December 10 and it looked like a great day was had by all! Not only was there Christmas spirit in abundance, but competitors took home an abundant amount of cash across the classes.
Hagans Croft held the penultimate leg of their dressage league on Saturday, December 16, with everyone now focussed on riding down that centre line for the final this weekend.
There has been plenty happening at Mossvale over the past couple of weeks, with the second legs of their Adult league, Junior league and Mini league all taking place, as well as a Pony Christmas Special, with all those in attendance having a great time.
The Horse&Field calendar lists local equine activities and is updated on a daily basis. We are trying to make the calendar as comprehensive as possible, so if you know of any events that aren’t yet listed, please let us know! We have received quite a number of diary dates recently, so please do keep check to see what is listed.
To new subscribers, welcome! You will receive this newsletter twice each week, as well as occasional emails in between - we want to keep you informed, but do not want to overload your inbox!
Please remember that Horse&Field will be updated on a regular basis and you can visit it at any time to see results or find out what is happening. If you wish, you can download the Substack app; you can search online for: horseandfield.substack.com or, if you are subscribed, just click on the email.
If you have any articles or photos to contribute, queries or suggestions, or if there is someone you think deserves to be featured in Horse&Field, please do send an email to horseandfield@gmail.com
Enjoy!
