Competitors take on Gransha’s Olympic Challenge

Olympic spirit in abundance as riders at all levels took on two- and three-phase options

Adults and children alike embraced the Olympic Spirit at Gransha Equestrian Centre, Bangor on Sunday, August 18. The day kicked off with the 30-40cm class, with competitors having the option of two phases (show jumping and cross-country) or all three of the eventing disciplines (dressage, show jumping and cross-country).

Mylie McAllister, Isabella Graham, Izzy Stout and Yasmin Kaftar were the top four in the 60cm three-phase class at Gransha’s Olympic Challenge.

The atmosphere was upbeat and competitors cheered on their fellow riders throughout the day. As each class finished, competitors were awarded their gold, silver and bronze medals on the podium.

Lizzie Taylor on Chester won the Assisted three-phase 30-40cm class at Gransha’s Olympic Challenge.

The sun shone all day and spirits remained high, as the poles were raised and the seniors had their opportunity to tackle the inviting and flowing track of fences.
