Dressage competitors dazzle at Ardnacashel

Week three of dressage league sees some super tests ridden ahead of the final

Week three of the dressage league at Ardnacashel Equestrian, Comber was held on Sunday, June 29 and saw a great turnout of competitors - especially in the intro, newcomers and prelim classes, which bodes well for dressage going forward!

The Intro junior class was won by Isabella Graham on ‘Kildenoge Boy’, ahead of Holly McCarroll on ‘Maggi Mai’ in second place. Meanwhile in the Intro senior class, Cara Collins on ‘Vanellope’ took the win, with Alison Macartney on ‘Simba’ securing the runner-up position.

In the Newcomers class, Cara Collins on ‘Vanellope’ once again scored well, but this time, they had to settle for second, as they were beaten by Joanna Tarasewicz, who took first place on ‘Harry’.

Camilla Galloway and ‘Lord S’ won the Prelim class at week three of Ardnacashel’s Dressage League.

The Prelim win went to Camilla Galloway on ‘Lord S’, with Linda Sales on ‘Castletara Countess’ in second, while in the Novice class, Jennifer Griffin rode ‘Doug’ into first place and Sarah Sloan took second with ‘Moneyquid Black’.

Olivia Pele and the very impressive ‘Mirlo Mon’ won the Elementary class.

The next leg of the league is the final, which takes place on Sunday, July 13, when Coreen Abernethy will be in the judge’s seat.
