Dressage Ireland Northern Region celebrates a successful year

Competitors rewarded for their efforts at awards night and quiz

After a very successful year for Northern Region competitors, Dressage Ireland NR had a quiz and awards night to give out trophies and prizes. The quiz was put together perfectly by the quiz master Jim McConnell, DINR would like to extend a massive thank you to Jim for putting so much time and effort to make a very entertaining quiz.

They also want to congratulate all the award winners. Thank you to Knockagh View Equestrian Centre, Greenisland, for the use of their function room and for putting on supper for everyone.

Harriet O’Hagan, winner of Children’s U12 Trailblazer Championship and highest overall score, was named Trailblazer Overall Champion and received her award from Northern Region Chairperson, Joan Adrain.

Ambition - Alex Ryan.

Northern Irish-bred horse in NR with most DI points in 2024 - Roundthorn Award:

Roundthorn Oreo - Linda McIlwaine.

Alexandra Ryan won the Killarney’s Choice Award for the Northern Region Horse with most DI points in 2024 with her horse, Ambition and received her award from Northern Region Chairperson, Joan Adrain.

Adult Intro League:

1) Cara Collins, Mharlas Majestic Lady; 2) Lynne Thompson, LTF Democratic Queen.

Adult Prelim League:

1) Cara Collins, Mharlas Majestic Lady; 2) Joanne Dow, Orions Carribawn Star; 3) Lynne Thompson, LTF Democratic Queen.

Cara Collins won both the Adult Intro and Adult Prelim classes in the TRY Dressage League and received her awards from Northern Region Chairperson, Joan Adrain.
