Dublin ribbons and sashes for local competitors 2/2
Northern exhibitors brought home their fair share of wins and placings from the RDS
Dublin Horse Show is the pinnacle of the showing season for many competitors, certainly for those who do not compete beyond these shores. It is always encouraging to see those from northern counties being recognised in the winning line ups at the RDS and this year, even the Supreme Hunter Champion was from north of the border!
With a huge 19 entries across the showing classes, it was fitting to see Jamie Smyth claim the coveted Supreme title, when riding the Hurst family’s ‘Tattygare Me Me Me’ to victory in the main arena at the RDS. This mare really made her mark on this year’s show, taking the Hunter Mare championship, Lightweight Hunter championship and the Four-Year-Old championship, before securing the accolade of Supreme Champion.

Hello and welcome to Horse&Field. Our aim is to support local, grass roots equestrian enthusiasts and competitors and keep you all informed of what’s happening in the horsey world, as well as covering all things agricultural. If you haven’t already subscribed you can do so below:
Numerous others excelled in good company at the show - their names are listed in the results below and as many of their photos as possible are also included.
Very well done to all, as always, for the huge efforts (and expense!) that go into the preparation and training, the impeccable turnout, making the journey and performing to such a high standard on the hallowed RDS turf!
