Edward keeps up with daughter Clare at Connell Hill

Training Show accommodates all levels of rider at Randalstown venue

Saturday, July 27 saw another great day’s jumping at Connell Hill Equestrian Centre, Randalstown. Joint first place in the 50cm class went to Clare Little on ‘Snowy’ and Julie Allen riding ‘Lily’.

Next up, in the 60cm class, well done to Donna Barron on ‘Dreamer’ and Carla Dolan on ‘Dekota’ for taking joint first place.

Donna Barron on ‘Dreamer’ were joint winners in the 60cm class at Connell Hill.

A clear winner of the 70cm class was Laoise Clancey riding ‘Tessa’.

The 80cm proved a very strong class, with Edward Little on young horse ‘Tommy’ going double clear, keeping up with daughter Clare in an earlier class. Katie Connor rode a lovely double clear on ‘Winnie’, as did Adrian Kurkowski on young horse ‘Kallie’, Lisa Blezard on ‘Pablo’, Maddie Miskimmin on ‘DS Dance with Me’ and Keith McDonald on ‘Sienna’.

Edward Little on young horse ‘Tommy’ jumped clear in the 80cm class at Connell Hill.

Dean Cotton took first place in the 90cm class with a smooth performance riding ‘Fizz’. Finishing off the jumping in the 1 metre and 1.10m classes saw Deborah Palmer on ‘GiGi’ and Sophie Lister-Tinsley on ‘Ruby’ taking home the red ribbons in the final performances of the day.

Well done to all competitors.

Training shows resume again next Saturday, August 10, starting at 10am with classes from cross-poles (assisted and unassisted) up to 1.30m. Entries are taken on the day. Everyone is very welcome.

Please note that this Saturday, August 3 will see the centre host the Fraser Homes Ulster Grand Prix Series 2024, with classes from 90cm to 1.30m.
