Eimear and Robyn top Strule Valley members at show jumping league
Annual league draws to a close with silverware finding new homes
Strule Valley Riding Club held the final night of their Annual Summer Show jumping League at Ecclesville Centre, Fintona. The club would like to thank all those who came along to compete and support their league.
The club would like to pay thanks on the final night to Conor McCabe for course building, assisted by Katie Clarke; Chris Bogle judging; Emma King entries; Alison Donnell call up; Signature Event Catering; Colm McCullagh from Ecclesville Centre and everyone who helped put fences up.

Very well done to all competitors, but special congratulations to the league winners in each class. Rushelle Kerr and ‘Speedy’ won The AJS Promotions Perpetual Cup in the 60cm class. Young Ella Jane Johnston and ‘Speedy’ won The Strule Valley Riding Club Perpetual Cup in the 70cm class.
Not to be outdone by her mum Rushelle, Nakita Thompson and ‘Tornado’ won The LW Surphlis and Son Perpetual Trophy in the 80cm class. Shauna Murray and ‘Ritz’ had a very successful league, winning both The Good Gracious Perpetual Cup in the 90cm class and The Omagh Equestrian and Countrywear Perpetual Cup in the 1 metre open class.
Congratulations to Eimear Watson and Robyn Livingstone, who were the highest placed Strule Valley Riding Club members in the league, jointly winning The Fordie Cathers Perpetual Cup.
A special mention must also go to four partnerships that jumped double clear rounds in their classes all four weeks of the league, leaving them on full points - Rushelle Kerr on ‘Speedy’ (60cm), Eimear Watson on ‘Cindy’ and Ella Jane Johnston on ‘Speedy’ (70cm) and Nakita Thompson on ‘Tornado’ (80cm).
Members now have a week off before commencing three weeks of dressage training with Mary Devine and the committee are planning the Autumn Schedule for September, October and November!
