Equestrian competition coverage from a busy weekend
Horse&Field brings you local show jumping, Working Hunter and Arena Eventing results
Hi folks,
Well, it’s time for the first instalment of the week, with some of the competition coverage from the weekend and information on a few potential future outings…!
While there was still a variety of competitions on, this time the choice was between show jumping, Working Hunter and Arena Eventing. This Horse&Field newsletter brings you results and pictures from some of these local competitions, information on forthcoming events and a wee bit of local news, which will hopefully be of interest. More equestrian coverage will follow later in the week.

The penultimate leg of the league at Ecclesville ran on Friday night, with much anticipation for the final this coming Friday. Likewise for Connell Hill, whose competitors were out on Saturday to make sure they are qualified for the league final this week!
Ardnacashel held the third week of their Working Hunter league on Sunday, which is proving popular with both horses and ponies and runs until December 17.
Meanwhile, Knockagh View held an Arena Eventing competition with their usual display of unusual fences to challenge combinations at all levels.
Looking ahead, Ardnacashel has lots on offer, with a Combined Training clinic on December 16, with a pretty impressive line up of coaches in Joanne Jarden and Karen Dixon; the centre’s Christmas Show has also been announced for December 30.
The Horse&Field calendar lists local equine activities and is updated on a daily basis. We are trying to make the calendar as comprehensive as possible, so if you know of any events that aren’t yet listed, please let us know!
