Well, the weekend is upon us again, but thankfully without any weather warnings! Last Sunday’s wind and rain led to a few cancellations and schedule changes, but thank goodness it wasn’t as damaging as the previous storm. It seems to be much calmer this weekend… And the daffodil leaves have made a breakthrough, which is a welcome sign that spring is on its way!

Nothing says spring more than looking forward to the season ahead (whether that be eventing, show jumping, dressage, endurance or showing!), with all the potential and the excitement that brings… So it is great to be able to share with you that entries for Balmoral Show’s equine and livestock classes opened on Friday, February 28 - to learn more, click below:
Livestock and Equine entries open for 2025 Balmoral Show
Carolyn Greene and Karen Hughes, Royal Ulster Agricultural Society (RUAS), have announced that livestock and equine entries for the 2025 Balmoral Show opened on Friday, February 28 at 10am.
Lots of dates have been added to the Horse&Field calendar recently, including qualifiers for Balmoral and for the NI Festival Working Hunter classes, as well as the incredible range of equine activities we are blessed to choose from every week, so be sure to check it out!
