Fabulous finale for Meadows' Inter-Schools' league
Tough competition across individual and team classes at Lurgan centre
The much-anticipated final of the TRI Equestrian Inter-Schools’ show jumping league at The Meadows Equestrian Centre, Lurgan, took place on Saturday, November 30, having been rescheduled from its original date of November 23 due to weather.
On the day, Bobby O’Hagan on ‘Fizz’ came out on top in the Primary Individual 50cm class, while in the team event, the Scarva Friends Mix Ups took first place. Joanna Douglas won the individual 50cm league class, with the Glynn PS/Toreagh PS winning the team league.

Lily Crawford on ‘Aghaderg Stepping Delight’ won the Primary Individual 60cm class for Glynn PS, with Taylor-Lee Doyle winning the league. The Primary Teams 65cm class being won by Born To Ride, who also secured the league win.
Meanwhile, Indie Bingham on ‘One in the Making’ came out on top in the Primary Individual 70cm class for Loanends Primary School, with Molly Reid just edging ahead to take the league win.
In the Secondary Individual 75cm class, Maddison O’Kane on ‘Sultana’, representing St Ciaran's College claimed the red rosette, with Anna Poots on ‘Maggie’ winning the league. Banbridge Academy were the victors in the final 75cm team event, with Friends’ School winning the league.

Aoife Davis on ‘Oldtown Starling’ for Saintfield High School won the Novice Individual 85cm class on the day, with Jack Cowan riding ‘Buddy’ for Lurgan College taking the league win. Assumption Grammar won the 85cm team event at the final, but Banbridge High School High Flyers sealed the league title.
Tim Morton on ‘Silver’, representing Seagoe Primary School, showed their class in the Open Individual 1m class, winning at the final and taking the league title. The 1m team wins, both in the final and in the overall league, went to Dromore High School.
While there was no result for the Premier Individual 1.10m class at the final, Julianna Nelson on ‘Jim’ claimed the league honours.

There was great excitement as the winners got to take their places on the podium, where they received their prizes, generously sponsored by TRI Equestrian. Needless to say, there were big smiles all round, bringing this competitive league to a fitting conclusion.
