Good turnout at Strule Valley league
Second night of Annual Summer Show Jumping League proves popular
Strule Valley Riding Club held the second night of their Annual Summer Show Jumping League on Wednesday, July 2, at Castle Irvine Necarne on a lovely summer’s night. The club would again like to thank those who came along to compete.
The third and penultimate week of the league is on Wednesday, July 9, with the final scheduled for Wednesday, July 16. Each evening starts at 7pm with 60cm, followed by 70cm, 80cm, 90cm and 1 metre open. Points are awarded each week and optimum time will decide placings on the final evening, in the event of equal placings. Not necessary, but organisers ask that, if you can, wear show wear on the final night.
The same horse/pony/rider combination should compete in the same class two out of three weeks to be eligible for perpetual cups and prizes on the final night, however everyone is very welcome to attend each week.
The club are asking for all Perpetual Cups to be returned to them for the final.

Points are adding up and, out in front in the 60cm class, on full points are ‘Bobby’ with Katie Clarke and ‘Jessie’ with Kim McKevlin. In the 70cm class, on full points are ‘Jessie’ with Kim McKevlin, ‘Maverick’ with Katie Nevin, ‘Little Lucky’ with Leila Rose McCabe and ‘Glebe Star’ with Leila Rose McCabe.
Leading the 80cm class are ‘Ria’ with Amy McKevlin, ‘Annie’ with Aoibhinn Monaghan, ‘Cara’ with Helen Badger and ‘Tye’ with Ruby Millar. Strule Valley Riding Club members Helen Badger on ‘Cara’ and Eimear Watson on ‘Cindy’ are on full points in the 90cm.
