Great attendance at Ardnacashel

Arena Eventing and show jumping competitions prove popular in Comber

Another great attendance graced Ardnacashel Equestrian, Comber on Sunday, January 12, as they held the second of their Arena Eventing and Show Jumping competitions.

Once again, Pony Club Spring Festival Qualifiers were included in the schedule for the day and more hopeful Pony Club competitors came out to try and gain a place at the Pony Club Barrier Animal Health Spring Festival being held at Castle Irvine on April 26 and 27.

Abi Gardner and ‘Blennerville Cavalino’ (North Down) won the 90cm Arena Eventing class and came fourth in the 90cm show jumping at Ardnacashel, qualifying in both classes. PICTURES: courtesy of Black Horse Photography

50cm - Clear Rounds:

Holly McCarroll, Midge (North Down); Penelope Robinson, Holly.

Holly McCarroll and ‘Midge’ (North Down) jumped clear in both the 50cm and 60cm show jumping classes at Ardnacashel.

60cm - Clear Rounds:

Holly McCarroll, Midge (North Down).

70cm Show jumping:

1) Ross Will, Westmount Double Dip (Killultagh) Q; 2) Erica Hassard, Betty (East Down) Q; 3) William Steele, Scooby Doo (East Down) Q.

William Steele and ‘Scooby Doo’ (East Down) came third in the 70cm show jumping and were runners-up in the 70cm Arena Eventing at Ardnacashel, qualifying in both classes.
