Great competition at Lusk's Derby and Balmoral Qualifiers
Competitors enjoy the chance to jump challenging course in the sunshine
Lusk Equestrian, near Lisburn, held a Derby over 70cm, 85cm and 1m courses on Sunday, April 6 to complement the RUAS Balmoral Performance Horse Qualifiers. The derby classes were well-supported and saw great competition, with the top spot going to the fastest rider.
The turnout for the Balmoral Qualifiers was generally poor, but perhaps this was to be expected, as this was the last of the five venues.

There was a lovely selection of young horses in the Balmoral qualifiers and organisers wish those who qualified well at the RUAS. There was a good turnout of horses from south of the border, with some coming from Carlow, Kilkenny and Wicklow, who were most complimentary of the course.
