Hi folks,
Somehow, we have just passed the milestone of 500 articles published on Horse&Field! My goodness, where did that time go to?! I would like to take this opportunity to extend a massive thank you to all those who have taken the time to send contributions, articles and images to be included on this page and to those who take the time to read them!

The initial aim was to support and provide a service to everyone involved in the local equestrian world, whether competitors, parents, support teams, instructors, clubs or equestrian centres. If there are things you would like to see added, please get in touch! If there are things you like, please do remember to ‘like’ and ‘share’!
This Horse&Field newsletter brings you the second instalment of reports, results and pictures from last weekend’s competitions, as well as details of a non-riding competition.
Knockagh View, Greenisland held the third leg of their dressage league on Sunday; with the final being held next month, competition is hotting up!
The first of the RUAS Balmoral Young Performance Horse qualifiers was held at The Meadows, Lurgan, with competitors travelling from far and wide to take part.
The final of the Winter Dressage Series was held at Ardnacashel, Comber on Sunday, with champions being crowned and qualifiers held for the Pony Club Spring Festival.
It was a busy weekend at Ardnacashel, as the centre also held an Arena Eventing and Show jumping day on Saturday, which also included Pony Club qualifiers. Competitors had a great day, with the weather mostly on side!
ILDRA recently celebrated their 2023 season with their AGM and awards night. There were some very surprised award recipients on the night!
Sticking with ILDRA, they also commenced their competitive season with a ride at Cam Forest, near Limavady. Baileys Horse Feeds continue to support these rides, with a bag of feed being presented to a randomly chosen participant at each ride, which is a great incentive to take part!
A competition is currently being run, with a £1,000 equine weight loss kit up for grabs - read more by clicking the link below.
More details on these and more are available by clicking on the stories below or visiting Horse&Field and having a scroll through!
The Horse&Field calendar lists local equine activities and is updated on a daily basis. We are trying to make the calendar as comprehensive as possible and currently lists shows and events right up until the Autumn, so if you know of any events that aren’t yet listed, please let us know!
To new subscribers, welcome! You will receive this newsletter twice each week, as well as occasional emails in between - we want to keep you informed, but do not want to overload your inbox!
Please remember that Horse&Field will be updated on a regular basis and you can visit it at any time to find out what is happening. If you wish, you can download the Substack app; you can search online for: horseandfield.substack.com or, if you are subscribed, just click on the email.
