HSI announce Show Jumping Autumn Development Series dates for 2023

Five standalone legs including one at The Meadows

Horse Sport Ireland (HSI), in conjunction with the Department for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, are delighted to launch the dates and venues for the 2023 Show Jumping Autumn Development Series.

Hello and welcome to Horse&Field. Our aim is to support local, grass roots equestrian enthusiasts and competitors and keep you all informed of what’s happening in the horsey world, as well as covering all things agricultural. If you haven’t already subscribed you can do so below:

This year, the Autumn Development Series will run as five standalone legs, with prize money available across the Four-Year-Olds, Five-Year-Olds and Six- & Seven-Year-Olds age classes for competitors, as well as breeders’ prizes.

In 2023, there will be three standalone legs of the Autumn Development Series for ponies, in JAG, Wexford EC and Coilog will feature pony-only classes for Five- and Six- & Seven-Year-Old ponies.

The Autumn Development Series is open to all horses that are registered in a WBFSH-member studbook with a specific breed documented within their studbook passport.

This can include main section studbook equines OR supplementary section studbook equines.

Ponies must have a breed recorded on their passport to be eligible to compete and receive prize money.

Horses and ponies with Identity Documents are not eligible to compete or to receive.

Breeders’ prizes will only be paid to breeders residing on the island of Ireland.

Sunday, September 24: Connaught Championships, Galway EC, Co. Galway.
Sunday, October 1: The Meadows EC, Lurgan, Co. Armagh.
Friday, October 6: Warrington Top-Flight Equestrian Centre, Co. Kilkenny.
Sunday, October 22: Maryville Stables, Carrigaline, Co. Cork.
Monday, October 30: Killossery Lodge, Swords, Co. Dublin.

The dates and venues for ponies are:
Saturday, September 30: JAG Equestrian, Naas, Co. Kildare.
Saturday, October 21: Wexford EC, Tomhaggard, Co. Wexford.
Wednesday, November 1: Coilog Equestrian, Kilmeague, Co. Kildare.
