In the 90cm category, five combinations emerged as victors, sharing the prize fund on offer. The 1m category witnessed a challenging battle among 23 combinations on the start list. Ultimately, the prize fund was divided amongst the 10 faultless performances.
The Four-Year-Old class, proudly sponsored by Horse Sport Ireland and DAFM, proved to be a testament to the future of equestrian excellence. With a generous prize fund of €2,000, nine double clears emerged victorious, showcasing the promising potential of these young talents.
Joanne Gibson, riding her remarkable nine-year-old chestnut mare named 'Villanelle', triumphed in the fiercely contested 1.10m class, whilst the 1.20m class witnessed a breathtakingly close competition, with a mere 0.03 seconds separating the first and second placings. Kadri Lumila and her mount, ‘Cruising Casey’, emerged triumphant, while Stephen Gibson, with his own ‘SGS Pride of the Hill’, showcased remarkable skill and had to settle for second place.
The grand finale of the day was the highly anticipated 1.25m Grand Prix. Emma Jackson, an equestrian force to be reckoned with, delivered an inspiring performance, claiming both the first and second positions in this fiercely competitive class.
