Lambourghini speeds to SJI success at Connell Hill

Sharon Callaghan won the 1.30m class at Randalstown venue

Connell Hill, Randalstown held another leg of their SJI Horse Summer League on Thursday, May 22, with some eye-catching horses in attendance for classes from 80cm up to 1.30m. A number of competitors jumped double clear in the 80cm, 90cm and 1m classes.

Ian Moore and his own ‘Pinecroft Lamiro’ showed their skill and consistency when they came out on top yet again in the 1.10m class. Kevin Mackey rode Alyson Henry’s ‘Smalltown Boy IV’ to take the runner-up position, while 3) Elle Moore and her own ‘Reagan’ finished third.

Mackey went one better in the 1.20m class when he and Alyson Henry’s ‘Smalltown Boy IV’ took the win, ahead of Emma Jackson on her own ‘Kylestone Cashel’ in second and Gary Jackson on his own ‘Dstud Billy Elliot’ in third.

The 1.30m class saw Sharon Callaghan take the top spot on board Henry Callaghan’s ‘Lambourghini’, with Emma Jackson having to settle for second place with Roy Shields’s ‘Rockrimmon Legacy’.

The SJI Horse Summer League continues at Connell Hill each Thursday throughout June.
