Lisa Doogan on 'Cove Park' won the 1.30m class at the Lurgan venue recently

The Meadows Equestrian ran another leg of their SJI Autumn Horse Series, alongside their unregistered Winter League on Saturday, November 16, with some competitive rounds of jumping in both arenas.

The 1.10m class was dominated by the men, with the win going to Steven Smith on board Tessa Westbrook’s ‘Lavori’, while Ian Moore took second and third places with his own ‘Triple C’ (Ihr) and ‘Pinecroft Galaxy’.

Emma Jackson took the top spot in the 1.20m class with her own ‘Kylestone Cashel’, with Oliver Doherty runner-up with Neal Doherty’s ‘CBI Cassandra’ and Gillian Beale King in third place with Lawrence Patterson’s ‘Cornet's Fox Z’.

The red ribbon in the 1.30m class went to Lisa Doogan with her own ‘Cove Park’, with Katie Campbell in second with James McKean’s ‘Cafre Olympic Dream’ and Markus Buser in third with his own ‘Kesha’.

Meanwhile, in the unregistered classes, there was a good turnout, with some super jumping, which is reflected in the number of clear rounds, particularly in the bigger classes.

Harry Hannaway and ‘Vicky’ jumped clear in the 70cm Winter League class at The Meadows.

Due to Storm Bert, week six of the Inter-schools’ jumping scheduled for Saturday, November 23 has been rescheduled for Saturday, November 30 and, as a result, week five of the Winter League will be held on Sunday, December 1, ahead of the Christmas Show and Winter League Final on Saturday, December 7.
