Local competitors on form in Dublin showing classes
Ribbons, sashes, cups and trophies make their way north from the RDS
Hello and welcome to Horse&Field. Our aim is to support local, grass roots equestrian enthusiasts and competitors and keep you all informed of what’s happening in the horsey world, as well as covering all things agricultural. If you haven’t already subscribed you can do so below:
The Dublin Horse Show showing classes attracted the usual high standard of entry, with tough competition across the various sections, but the northern contingent gave a fantastic account of themselves and brought numerous ribbons, sashes and cups back home!
Huge congratulations must go to all those who went above and beyond to train, prepare and present their animals to such an impeccable level. There are too many successes to go through them all, but those who deserve particular mention include James Smyth, Caroline McParland, Caitie Slater, Sharon Kelly-Murphy, Zoe Price, Elly-Rose Dixon, Samuel McAteer, Andrea Latto, Myia Emily Latto, Teresa McKenna, Eileen Millar, Casey-Lee Millar, Amanda Torrens, Katie Wyse, John Hagan, Ciara Mullan, Yvonne Pearson, Lesley Jones and Rachel Moore, who won their classes and, in some cases, secured championships. What an achievement!
Runner up positions went to Alistair McDonald, Ann Lyons, Lisa and Alison Mitchell Talbot, Gillian Torrens, Terry and Sally Johnston, Simone and Ava Murphy, Paula Howard, Kate Chissel, Katie Cathcart, Chloe Thompson, Colleen Letters, Chloe Connon, Lynne Shields and Gwen Scott. Very well done to all!
The full show results are available here but please see below for the placings of Ulster connections!
