Looking forward to Limavady Agricultural Show
Equestrian section includes horse and pony showing, Working Hunter and jumping classes
Preparations are ongoing for the Limavady Agricultural Show, which is due to be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Aghanloo, Limavady, by kind permission of Mr John McMonagle.
The equestrian section includes horse and pony showing classes, as well as jumping. The Light Horse and Pony schedule and entry form can both be found in the downloads section on the show website: https://limavadyshow.co.uk/downloads.php

Entries for the showing classes can be emailed to janet.currie1948@btinternet.com, who will then send on a link for making payment.
Ideally, organisers would like to receive entries for the showing classes before the show, but entries can be taken on the day with a small surcharge.
Entries for the cross-jump and jumping classes are all on the day.
Ring one will host a variety of classes, beginning with Young Stock In-Hand, which will cater for broodmares, foals, one-, two- and three-year-olds, as well as coloureds and pure-bred Irish Draughts. These will be followed by Ridden Hunters, including classes for Smalls, Lightweight, Heavy or Middleweight, Ridden pure-bred Irish Draughts, Riding Horses, Show Cobs, Traditional Cobs and Ridden coloureds.
Ring two starts off with Ponies In-Hand, followed by Lead Rein and First Ridden, as well as Family Horse and Pony classes and Veteran Horse and Pony classes.
Jumping classes will commence around 12 noon with Cross-jump, which will consist of a mixture of cross-country and show jumping fences, with class heights under 60cm, 80cm and 1m. There will be a pony section and a horse section in each class.
Show jumping will start after the cross-jump at around 2pm, with classes for Beginners cross-poles (assisted and unassisted), 50cm, 60cm, 70cm, 80cm, 90cm and 1m.
