Show jumping league gets underway at Lusk Equestrian
Week one of Lusk Equestrian’s Show jumping League commenced on Sunday, July 21. The course was set for the 60cm class, which has become a feature of Lusk’s shows and it is wonderful to see new faces to the sport, who will no doubt progress through the weeks.
Alex Hemsley had a busy day getting placed first and sixth on ‘Deal’ and ‘Vinnie’.
There were quite a number of people with young horses there to gain experience.

The 70cm and 80cm classes were well supported and, in the 90cm, the ever-competitive Sophie Price on ‘Molly’ won her class, while Jessica Knowles (now Simpson, recently returned from her honeymoon), took third place on ‘Henry’.
A very big thank you to Karen Connolly, who rode ‘Herbie’ into the placings in the 80cm class, for her sponsorship from her company Greenville I D C Electric for the finals on August 11.
Show jumping continues next Sunday, July 28 at 10am, with a new course builder, Marcus Buser, and entries again with Sarah Whiteside on 07840 117132 before Friday evening, July 23.
