Mackey on form at Connell Hill's SJI Horse Show
Registered show jumpers take on tough tracks at Randalstown venue
The SJI Spring League welcomed registered show jumpers to Connell Hill, Randalstown again on Thursday, April 10, hosting classes from 80cm up to 1.30m.
While nobody took on an 80cm track on this occasion, there was a pleasing turnout for the other classes.
It was a good day for Kevin Mackey, who claimed the top spot in both the 1.20m and 1.30m classes on board Alyson Henry’s ‘Caugherty Ronan’, with Harry Marshall having to settle for second place in both classes with his own ‘Morning Attraction’.

The 1.10m class saw Niamh McFall and her own ‘Bay of Biscay’ taking the win, followed by Jodie Creighton riding Joanne Sloan Allen’s ‘WKD Special Spice’ in second.
Competitors in the 90cm and 1m classes had great success, with a good number of clear rounds being jumped and points being earned.
The SJI Spring League continues at Connell Hill on Thursday, April 17, with horse and pony classes being held.
