McEvoy on form at Meadows RDS qualifier
Young horses book their places for Dublin Horse Show in August
The Meadows Equestrian Centre, Lurgan was a hive of activity on Tuesday, May 20, as it played host to an RDS Horse Qualifier, with classes for Four-Year-Olds, Five-Year-Olds, Six-Year-Olds and Seven and Eight-Year-Olds. Competitors travelled from all over the country to try and book their tickets for Dublin Horse Show in August and spectators were treated to some fine displays for show jumping.
Niamh McEvoy is a familiar face at The Meadows and she had a good day on Tuesday, firstly winning the Four-Year-Old RDS qualifier on board ‘Rich And Royal’, owned by GBBS Int Ltd. Kerry Taggart rode Trilbie Cook’s ‘Corranvale Lady Jorado’ into second place, with Tabitha Kyle on Lisa Cawley and GBBS Int Ltd’s ‘BP Nebraska’ placing third. Eight combinations qualified from this class.
