The competition showcased the skills and talents of young horses and riders, offering an exciting glimpse into the future of Irish show jumping.

In the Four-year-old category, an impressive 19 double clears were recorded, highlighting the exceptional talent in this age group. The prize fund of €2,000 was shared among these promising young competitors, further incentivising their growth and development.

The Five-year-old category saw an impressive turnout of 59 starters, with an outstanding 28 pairs achieving double clears. This fierce competition demonstrated the growing strength of the young horse programme in Ireland. The prize fund of €2,500 served as a rewarding recognition of the riders' and horses' performances.
The Six- and Seven-year-old category brought forth outstanding talent, with Ellie Humphries taking the first place position. Riding the remarkable six-year-old ‘Rossmount Luis’, owned by Allison Mercer, Humphries showcased exceptional riding skills and a deep understanding of her equine partner. ‘Rossmount Luis’ boasts an impressive breeding lineage, with sire ‘Luidam’ and a dam sired by ‘Clover Hill’.

In arena 2, an array of classes ranging from 90cm to 1.30m were held. The 1.30m class on the day was won by Katie McEntee, who displayed exceptional riding prowess aboard Samantha Dale's ‘Roundthorn Hercules’. This impressive horse, bred by Patricia Connon, exhibits a remarkable pedigree, with ‘Colestus’ as the sire and ‘Manhattan’ as the dam.
