Memorial Derby Show success for Six Mile Water

Laurel View event raises funds in memory of friend and founding member Miriam Wright

Six Mile Water Riding Club held the second of two fundraising events in memory of their friend and founding member Miriam Wright. The club held a memorial derby show at Laurel View Equestrian Centre, Templepatrick.

It was a brilliant day and a wonderful opportunity for people to compete at Miriam’s favourite type of show for the worthwhile cause of the Macmillan Unit, Antrim Area Hospital. The club raised £922, which added to the funds that the quiz raised, giving a total of £2,237.

Claire Liddle won Class 6 (90cm) at the Six Mile Water Memorial Derby Show.

Six Mile Water made the total up to £2,500, which will be donated to the Macmillan Unit in her memory.

80cm:

Holly Hanvey won Class 5 (80cm) at the Six Mile Water Memorial Derby Show.
