New Year gets under way at Ecclesville

First show jumping league of 2025 kicks off at Fintona venue

Ecclesville Centre, Fintona started the first of their Show jumping Leagues for 2025 on Friday and the organisers were delighted to have over 70 entries on such a wintery evening.

This Show jumping League, which is part of the 2025 Super League, will continue for the next four Friday evenings, commencing at 6.15pm sharp with a 40cm class, followed by 50cm, 60cm, 70cm, 80cm, 90cm and 1m.

Sian McElmurray and ‘Tilly’ picked up a red rosette in the 70cm class at week one of Ecclesville’s show jumping league.

Hello and welcome to Horse&Field. Our aim is to support local, grass roots equestrian enthusiasts and competitors and keep you all informed of what’s happening in the horsey world, as well as covering all things agricultural. If you haven’t already subscribed you can do so below:

Competitors are reminded that the same combination rider / pony must compete in the same class for three out of the four weeks leading up to the Final, to be eligible for prizes on January 31.
