What is a Hobby Horse Competition?
A hobby horse competition is a playful event, where participants simulate horse riding using toy horses, made from a stick with a horse head. Competitors typically perform routines or ‘jump’ over obstacles, mimicking equestrian events.
Is this an event only for horse enthusiasts?
Not at all! This is a family day out, and organisers encourage everyone to come along for a fun-filled day.
What if it rains?
This event caters to all weather conditions. There is the option to move indoors and some activities will be held in the large indoor riding arena.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, well-behaved dogs on a lead are welcome.
Will we see real horses?
Yes, there are horses on the property, and some children will be riding. However, there will be no pony riding or grooming activities.
Admission for adults is £12, with children under 16 free. Tickets and information are available through Eventbrite
