Pippa and ‘Scooby Bee’ dominate at The Meadows' Inter-Schools' jumping
Fourth week of Inter-Schools’ Show jumping League sees fierce competition
The fourth week of the highly anticipated Meadows Inter-Schools’ Show jumping League, supported by TRI Equestrian NI and Baileys Horse Feeds, showcased exceptional talent and fierce competition among schools in the region on Saturday (October 28).

In the 50cm Individual category, Alexa Reid, riding her pony ‘Peggy’, demonstrated remarkable precision by coming closest to the Optimum time of 48 seconds.
The 50cm Primary Teams event witnessed an outstanding performance by the all-girl quartet from Clare Primary School, securing a well-deserved victory.
Maeve Nesbitt travelled all the way from Co. Monaghan to conquer the 60cm Individual class, achieving an impressive result aboard ‘Jessie Jay’.
The 70cm Primary Team competition saw the Highflyers emerge as the champions, with Stewartstown Primary School finishing in second place and the Saddle Sisters claiming the third spot.
Sarah Wilson, riding ‘Didi’ for Broughshane Primary School, outshone competitors to claim victory in the 70cm Individual category. Meanwhile, Hunterhouse College from Belfast displayed exceptional teamwork and skills, emerging as winners in the fiercely contested 75cm Secondary Teams event. Magherafelt High School secured the second position, showcasing their talent and dedication.
In the Secondary Individual 75cm class, Jack Cowan from Lurgan Junior High School took a commanding lead with his remarkable partner, ‘Edentrillick Honeybee’.
Dromore High School emerged as the winners in the Novice Teams category, demonstrating their prowess and teamwork.
In the Novice Individual 85cm division, Aoife Davis from Saintfield High School showcased exceptional riding skills, securing a well-deserved victory.
The Open Teams category witnessed an impressive performance by Assumption Grammar, who claimed the top spot in a highly competitive field.
Pippa Moore from Moira Primary School left an indelible mark on the competition, clinching victory in both the Open Individual 1m and the Premier Open Individual 1.10m divisions. Moore's exceptional talent and determination shone brightly throughout the event.
The Meadows Inter-Schools’ Show jumping League continues to provide a platform for young equestrians to showcase their skills, foster teamwork and promote sportsmanship among schools in the region.
