Hello and welcome to Horse&Field. Our aim is to support local, grass roots equestrian enthusiasts and competitors and keep you all informed of what’s happening in the horsey world, as well as covering all things agricultural. If you haven’t already subscribed you can do so below:
On Friday, there were extra prizes for the highest placed five-year-old in 1.10m class, which went to Rachel McKimmon on ‘Cullion Mr Griffin’; the highest placed six-year-old in the 1.20m class went to Luke Campbell on ‘Carbonado’ and the highest placed seven-year-old in the 1.30m class went to Hannah Blakely on ‘Lougherne Kingfisher’. This pair also won the class and picked up a lovely rug, sponsored by Raymond Irvine of Equestrian Waste Removal.
Saturday also saw a great day’s jumping. The 1m class was won by Frances Kealey on ‘Danny Boy’, who also picked up the highest place A Amateur prize. In the 1.10m class, Caroline Gaston took the win along with the AA Amateur prize.
The day finished with the 1.25m Mini Grand Prix, where Christopher Brown on ‘Gracefield Mufada’ took the win, the class also kindly sponsored by Equestrian Waste Removal.
