Portmore show jumping moves indoors
Competitors avail of the indoor facilities at Aghalee venue
Portmore Equestrian Centre held their first indoor show of the season last Sunday, with a great turnout of competitors across the classes, which ran from 80cm up to 1.30m.
Ian Moore dominated the 1.10m class, taking a one-two with his own ‘Pinecroft Galaxy’ and ‘Triple C’ respectively. Emma Jackson followed suit in the 1.20m class, winning with Sharon Eadie’s ‘Vanderbitt’ and coming second with Ken Bolton’s ‘Simple Vision’. Event rider Steven Smith took third place in both these classes, with Tessa Westbrook’s ‘Lavori’ third in the 1.10m class and Terry Johnston’s ‘Strangford’ third in the 1.20m.

This week saw a 1.25m Timed class being held, with Claire Badger taking the win here with her own ‘Ciska Van T Lozerhof Z’, followed by Lucy Gibson in second riding Charlotte Gibson’s ‘Lady Catoki’.
The 1.30m class was won by Laura Brown-McCann riding her own ‘Gracefield Mufasa’, with Lisa Priestley runner-up with Penny Campbell’s Corlioni.
This coming weekend at Portmore will see a Qualifier Show this Sunday, October 13 for the Portmore Autumn Championships, which are due to be held from October 17-20.
