Posnett on point at Portmore
Suzanne Posnett rode Maxim Van Overis Z to win the 1.20m SJI class at the Aghalee venue
Portmore Equestrian Centre, Aghalee ran another of their SJI Horse Shows on Sunday, June 8, hosting classes from 80cm up to 1.30m.
The red ribbon in the 1.30m class went to Megan Nelson riding her own ‘Fancy Trend’, after taking on some good company, with Kenneth Graham on his own ‘Lenamore Hey Boy’ in second and Suzanne Posnett on her own ‘Lonestar’ in third.
Posnett was not to be outdone in the 1.20m class though, when taking the top spot with her mother Pamela Posnett’s ‘Maxim Van Overis Z’. Shannon Mackenzie finished just behind in second on her own ‘Cadeau De Bo Z’, while Katie McLaughlin rode Paula McLaughlin’s ‘Alamshar Hero Z’ into third.

The 1.10m class saw James Courtney-Cadam ride Linda Courtney’s ‘DPS Dunkirk’ into first place, followed by Amy Roberts on Morris G Smyth And Elaine Smyth’s ‘Elamo Eye Candy’ in second and Rory Lavery on his own ‘Colano Blue’ in third.
There were 10 combinations who shared the glory in the 1m class, while five did so at 90cm and just one jumped clear in the 80cm class.
Portmore will host their Tuesday night jumping again this Tuesday, June 17, followed by a Horse and Pony Training Show on Saturday and another SJI Horse Show on Sunday.
Don’t forget that Portmore will host their Three-day Summer Horse Show from Friday, June 27 until Sunday, June 29. Don’t miss it!
