Pre-Balmoral preparations for equestrian competitors
Showing, Working Hunter and show jumping classes provide great competition
Hi folks,
I hope you have all been able to get out in the sunshine today - it’s been glorious! And I also hope that maybe when you get a chance to sit down with a cuppa, you can catch up with the remainder of last weekend’s equestrian coverage, which includes the Pre-Balmoral Show at Ardnacashel and show jumping at Connell Hill, Portmore and The Meadows, with many competitors in showing, working hunter and show jumping getting in some preparations ahead of next week’s Balmoral Show!

This Horse&Field newsletter brings the second instalment of reports, results and pictures from local competitions, as well as some news items that may be of interest. On another note, I am really looking forward to sharing my next podcast with you; I have a very interesting variety of people lined up and we’re just working on the scheduling at this busy time of year!

Another super weekend at Connell Hill
It was another super weekend in Randalstown, as junior riders excelled at Connell Hill Equestrian. The first few classes of the day, kindly sponsored by Doagh Equestrian, attracted high numbers of entries from the junior competitors, with lovely double clear rounds from Molly and Penelope Robinson, Alice Gregg and sisters Rose and Violet Semple.
