Shining horses at Ardnacashel dressage

Leg three of the Winter Dressage League saw some impressive competitors

Leg three of the Winter Dressage League at Ardnacashel Equestrian, Comber, took place on Sunday, and what a great day it was! The horses were shining and the riders looked sharp. Judge, Fiona Morrow, was truly impressed by the competitors, while the café staff worked diligently to refuel and warm them up.

Join in again this coming Sunday, February 16, for Leg four! The remaining events of the league are open to everyone, but to qualify for a league prize, participants must compete in four legs, including the final. The best two scores from each combination, along with their final score, will be tallied to determine their league standing.

Dressage League - Leg 3

Intro Lead Rein:

1) Charlotte Curran, Loneash Daisy.

Charlotte Curran and ‘Loneash Daisy’ won the Intro Lead Rein class at Ardnacashel.

Intro Junior:

1) Leah Symon, Keeva; 2) Jessica Curran, Loneash Daisy; 3) Grace Armstrong, South Picasso; 4) Ruby Maginnis, Moon.

Intro Senior:

1) Kerri Symon, Poppy; 2) Cara Collins, Vanellope; 3) Phillip Frizzell, Bentley; 4) Andree Keen, Zebedee Doo Dah.

Cara Collins and ‘Vanellope’ were runners-up in both the Intro Senior and Newcomers classes at Ardnacashel.

Newcomers:

1) Nikita Noonan, Jester Du Carel; 2) Cara Collins, Vanellope; 3) Eleanor Wheeler, Chulo's Ghost; 4) Joan Fox, Guiness; 5) Nicola Caughey, Cobweb; 6) Libby Conway, Loughside Puzzle.

Nicola Caughey and ‘Cobweb’ came fifth in the Newcomers class at Ardnacashel.

Prelim:

1) Molly Byrne, Rostrevor Ard Ri; 2) Ruth Curran, Ballyorgan Mr Darcy; 3) Natasha Knowles, Morning Dew.

Ruth Curran and ‘Ballyorgan Mr Darcy’ were runners-up in the Prelim class at Ardnacashel.

Natasha Knowles and ‘Morning Dew’ placed third in the Prelim class at Ardnacashel.

Novice:
