SJI Summer league continues at Connell Hill

Terrific turnout of competitors tackle Will Crean's challenging course

Hello and welcome to Horse&Field. Our aim is to support local, grass roots equestrian enthusiasts and competitors and keep you all informed of what’s happening in the horsey world, as well as covering all things agricultural. If you haven’t already subscribed you can do so below:

Connell Hill, Randalstown, hosted another leg of their SJI Summer League on Thursday, July 20. With a terrific turnout, competitors enjoyed the summer sunshine and the chance to jump a challenging course, built by Will Crean.

Sarah Irwin and 'Charlie De Reve' was back jumping after recovering from a fractured collar bone and competed in the 1m class. PICTURES: courtesy of Lyndon McKee

This league will continue through August and September, with details and online entry found on the SJI Live website.

Ian Moore and 'Pinecroft Galaxy' won the 1.10m class.

Rebecca Knox and 'Blossomhill Perfection' came second in the 1.10m class.

Rachel McCaughey and 'Ardglen Stardust' came third in the 1.10m class.

1) Emily Turkington, Luidams Diamond.

Zoe Mellet and 'Jasmine Tide' placed fourth in the 1.10m class.
