Smyth, Creighton and Moore on winning form at Connell SJI Horse Show
Jonathan Smyth won the 1.30m class, with Jodie Creighton taking the 1.20m and Ian Moore taking a one-two in the 1.10m class at the Randalstown venue
Last Thursday, June 5, saw another round of the SJI Horse Summer League being held at Connell Hill, Randalstown. As always, classes ran from 80cm up to 1.30m, with a pleasing number of competitors managing to jump double clear rounds, particularly in the 90cm and 1m classes.
The highlight of the day was the 1.30m class, which saw Jonathan Smyth ride Richard J W Smyth’s ‘Mulvin Ganesh Melanie’ into the top spot, ahead of Tegan White McMorrow on her own ‘Ballinamurra Sunflight’ in second and Lucy Hanna on her own ‘Rock Biltmore’ in third.

The 1.10m class saw Ian Moore continue his amazing run of form, taking the win with his own ‘Pinecroft Galaxy’ and also second place with his own ‘Pinecroft Lamiro’, while Jodie Creighton rode Leanne Marshall’s ‘GHS Corriana’ into third place.
Jodie went on to win the 1.20m class with ‘GHS Corriana’, with Edward Little taking the runner-up spot with his own and Jane Russell’s ‘AKD Carnlea Blue’. Patricia Stewart Greer placed third with Ash-Lee Brown’s ‘Van Dijk’.
