Spring Festival first for Area 17
Pony Club members head to Castle Irvine, Necarne for Barrier Animal Health Spring Festival final
Area 17 of the Pony Club is hosting the Barrier Animal Health Spring Festival Final in Castle Irvine, Necarne on Saturday, March 23 and Sunday, March 24.
This is the first time this final has been held in Northern Ireland and it is quite an undertaking to plan and host something on such a large scale. All Branches of Area 17 Pony Club worked together in the planning of this, under the guidance of Area 17 Representative, Fran Rowlatt-McCormick.
All riders attended qualifier competitions in dressage, show jumping and Arena Eventing, held around the country between last Autumn and this Spring, to gain their place at this prestigious event.
There will be dressage classes held on both Saturday and Sunday; show jumping on Saturday and Arena Eventing on Sunday. The entries are fantastic, with 124 Arena Eventing, 182 show jumping and 110 dressage entries, so it will be a very busy weekend.
JRS Photography will be on site over the weekend. Thank you to Michaela and the staff at Castle Irvine for their help in the run up to the event and over the weekend.
Organisers wish all competitors from all of the Area 17 Branches and Centres good luck at the weekend and hope they all have fun and make new friendships. Now all that is needed is some nice dry weather!
