Spring has sprung... more time for equine fun?
Local equestrian reports, results and photos of the action
Hello everyone,
I hope you had a very Happy Easter weekend - thank goodness it was a bit drier than it has been recently! The weekend also saw the clocks ‘spring’ forward, so Spring is officially here and I’m sure you are as happy as I am to see a wee stretch in the evenings… And hopefully a bit more time (and motivation!) to enjoy our equine friends.

This Horse&Field newsletter brings you the latest equestrian reports, results and some first class images of the action!
Connell Hill in Randalstown had a busy Easter weekend, between a Working Hunter Show for horses and ponies on Monday, preceded by their unregistered show jumping on Saturday. Both reports have fantastic photos by Lyndon McKee.
Working Hunter enthusiasts also made their way to Hagans Croft, Bailiesmills on Saturday, as they held the second week of their league. The sun even made an appearance, with blue skies as the backdrop to action shots by Black Horse Photography!
Ecclesville Centre in Fintona held the final of their second show jumping league of the year, with some very competitive rounds being jumped.
Meanwhile, Knockagh View, Greenisland, held the final of their Mid-week show jumping league, which has been running indoors. The centre is due to run an outdoor league, so look out for that in the near future!
The Ulster Region Spring Pony Series was held at The Meadows on Sunday, March 24, adding to a busy weekend for the Lurgan venue, as they had hosted SJI jumping and Cash Back Unregistered jumping the previous day.
Portmore Equestrian Centre, Aghalee, continues with their series of SJI Horse Shows on Sundays, with some pictures of the action on March 24 from Sporting Images.
