Strule Valley show jumping league approaches
League welcomes everyone: members, non-members, ponies and horses
The annual summer show jumping league organised by Strule Valley Riding Club is commencing on Wednesday night, July 3 at Ecclesville, Fintona at 7pm, with the 60cm class, followed by 70cm, 80cm, 90cm and 1 metre open.
Everyone is very welcome, members and non-members, ponies and horses and entries are on the night.
The league will continue on Wednesdays, July 10 and 17, with the final planned for Wednesday, July 24.
Points will be awarded each week and optimum time will decide places on the final night, in the event of equal placings. The same rider and pony/horse should compete two out of three weeks in the same class to be eligible for Perpetual Cups and prizes in that class on the final night, however, everyone will be most welcome.
So far, generous prizes have kindly been sponsored by Botanica International Ltd, Bailey’s Horse Feeds in Ireland (Judy Maxwell) and British Horse Feeds.
Members look forward to further cross-country training with Chris Bogues at Ash Hollow Equestrian at the end of July and a BBQ. Then, moving into August, Mary Devine from Devine Equine will travel to Ami Kwasniewska’s arena for dressage training.
The monthly pleasure rides at Gortin Glens are also on the schedule! So a busy summer lies ahead and there is something for everyone!
