Sunny Sunday for dressage at Lusk Equestrian
Dressage days get off to a good start for Lisburn venue
Lusk Equestrian held the first of their Dressage days on sunny Sunday, November 5, despite the country having suffered Storm Babet and Ciaran, where many places were flooded over the past two weeks.
Hello and welcome to Horse&Field. Our aim is to support local, grass roots equestrian enthusiasts and competitors and keep you all informed of what’s happening in the horsey world, as well as covering all things agricultural. If you haven’t already subscribed you can do so below:
Although the entries were poor, the arena was in prime condition, but it was great to see three-year-old Faith O’Connor compete in her first Dressage competition!
Judge Fran Warden, who also was sponsoring the small class, assisted by Jim McShane, was full of praise and admiration for both the children and parents to have all performed so well.
The Medium test was judged by Corey Mawhinney, assisted by Sharlene Scott, and the Advanced test was judged by the experienced Janet Hall, assisted by Sandra Hamilton; a big thank you to all judges and scribes.
The dressage continues for another three weeks, so get your entries in with Sarah Whiteside on 07840 117132.
