Three-Phase and Combined Training success at Danescroft

A great turnout and some super scores were recorded at Lisburn competition

Danescroft Equestrian, Lisburn, recently hosted a successful day of competition, with both Three-Phase and Combined Training classes attracting a great turnout of riders and horses on Saturday, May 23.

The Three-Phase competition, judged by Corey Mawhinney, saw Kate Shields and ‘Jimmy’ take top honours, with an impressive finishing score of 27.76, ahead of Violet Campbell and ‘Sundance’ in second place on 28.40, while Chloe Lister-Tinsley and ‘Blackstone Ruby’ secured third on 30.20.

In the Combined Training section, judged by Coreen Abernethy, Rebecca Fletcher and ‘Pepper’ claimed victory on a score of 28.80, following a polished dressage test and clear jumping round. Catherine Cowan and ‘LF Orangina’ finished in second place, while Harriet Royle and ‘Silver’ completed the top three.

Violet Campbell and ‘Sundance’ were runners-up in the Three-Phase class at Danescroft.

A huge thank you must go to all competitors, helpers and supporters who made the day possible. Thank you also to jumping judge Natasha Haslem for giving up her time and expertise throughout the day.

Jas Hogg and ‘Vera’ placed seventh in the Three-Phase class at Danescroft.
