Tim takes Balmoral Under 10s title
Six-year-old Tim Morton and 'Dutch Lady' win RUAS championship
Tim Morton took the Under 10s ranks by storm when, at the tender age of six, he won the Balmoral Under 10s qualifier at Cavan in recent weeks, reportedly being the youngest competitor ever to qualify for the championship... On Saturday, he went one better, winning the Karlswood Under 10s Championship in the main arena at Balmoral Park on Martin McEvoy’s pony ‘Dutch Lady’!

Tim set off at blistering speed, with tight turns and jumping on the angle over fences. Tim's round proved unbeatable… what an amazing feat for this young athlete!
Harvey Oscar Foley on the infamous ‘Silver Legend’ finished in second place, with Caitie McEvoy riding ‘Tynnan Tuttle Pip’ in third.

Many thanks are extended to Karlswood for their kind generosity in sponsoring the Karlswood Under 10s Balmoral Championship. Ruth and Cara O'Connor representing Karlswood were on hand to present the prizes to the worthy winners: Tim Morton, Harvey Oscar Foley and Caitie McEvoy.
It was a big day for Ulster Region pony athletes, who took three of the top six placings in the class. Tim Morton on ‘Dutch Lady’ were champions; Caitie McEvoy on ‘Tynnan Tuttle Pip’ placed third and Louie O'Keeffe on ‘Antigua Aoibheann’ placed sixth. Well done to all!
