The highly anticipated penultimate leg of the TRI Inter-Schools’ show jumping took place at the Meadows on Saturday, attracting a multitude of talented young equestrians from various schools. With only a few points separating the league standings, the competition was fierce as teams and individuals vied for those coveted points, as the final leg of this popular schools’ series takes place on Saturday, November 25.

Waringstown Primary School emerged victorious in the 50cm Team class, showcasing their exceptional skills and determination. The Highflyers, in the 70cm Primary team class, soared to new heights, in securing a well-deserved win.
In the Secondary Teams’ class, Friends School, Lisburn stood tall amidst formidable challenges from other teams, ultimately clinching the victory. Banbridge Academy Waddell triumphed in the 85cm Novice Teams, skilfully navigating the course, and leaving their competitors in their wake. Lurgan College put up a valiant effort, settling for a commendable second place on this occasion.

The final team class of the day saw Assumption Grammar emerge as the sole school to achieve a faultless performance, earning them the well-deserved honours.
The final leg of the TRI Inter-Schools’ show jumping is scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 25. Competitors are reminded that the best five scores out of the six legs will count towards the final tally, so the leagues are still anyone’s to win!
