There were so many equine activities on last weekend that it requires another instalment to bring you all the results!
This Horse&Field newsletter brings you some more of the show jumping, dressage and arena eventing results, as well as a bit of equine news.

Strule Valley Riding Club recently presented the Dolly Mixture Shield to the club member who attended the most club events/ lessons in 2023.
It was a busy and exciting day at Mossvale on Saturday, with the finals of the Adult, Mini and Junior leagues - there was some super jumping from combinations in each of the categories!
Knockagh View continued with their New Year dressage league, with competitors performing well, despite the weather.
Ardnacashel Equestrian were kept on their toes, with competitions on both Saturday and Sunday last weekend. Saturday saw Arena Eventing and Show jumping being held, including Pony Club qualifiers, while on Sunday, they continued with their Winter Dressage League.
A new study has shed further light on why strip grazing may be effective in weight management of horses and ponies.

Strip grazing delivers a steadier supply of nutrients than free grazing
A newly published study has shown that, after rapid spring grass growth has stopped, strip grazing can deliver a steadier nutrient supply to horses than when they have free access to restricted grazing. This sheds further light on why strip grazing may be an effective weight management tool.
