For anyone who enjoys spending time riding their horse, the St. Patrick’s Coast Ride is a ‘must-do’ event. The excellent weather this year made the ride all the more enjoyable for the numerous stewards, volunteers and organisers, not to speak of the riders and their horses!
Annual St. Patrick’s Coast Endurance Ride is a resounding success
The highly-anticipated annual St. Patrick’s Coast Endurance Ride returned for 2023 on Saturday, September 2, a ‘must-do’ event on so many horse rider’s calendars. With a day of excellent weather conditions, there was much enjoyment for the riders, organisers, stewards, volunteers and crew members involved.
St. Patrick’s Coast always welcomes RDA riders to the venue, Downpatrick Racecourse and this year, riders from Minnowburn RDA were delighted to take up the invitation.

Six Mile Water Riding Club have built a great reputation for holding good competitions. Their Working Hunter competition at Laurel View saw a super turnout, with mixed fortunes over the challenging course!

Six Mile Water Riding Club held their annual Working Hunter competition at Laurel View Equestrian Centre, Templepatrick (Co. Antrim) on Sunday, August 27. Thank you to everyone who supported the event, for the second year running, the club had a wonderful turnout, with around 70 rounds jumped!
Meanwhile, Hagans Croft, Bailiesmills, got their Jump Mix League underway on Saturday, with some top class rounds being jumped over the course of coloured and rustic fences.

The course consisted of a mixture of coloured and rustic fences, where competitors jumped fences one to eight and then fences nine to 12 were timed. Ecclesville Centre, Fintona started the fourth of their Show jumping Leagues for 2023 on Friday evening (September 8). It was definitely a case of all roads leading to Fintona, as there were a grand total of 85 entries on the night!
